Productivity and Storage

Great apps for productivity already installed on your iPad:  Email, Calendar, Notes, and Reminders. 

Doc Scan HD - Free
Scan your documents to your iPad, export to a variety of programs.

Uses: file management, scanning


Dropbox - Free
Use dropbox to store your files and access them from anywhere.

Uses: file storage; file sharing

Evernote - Free
Evernote allows you to tag and store items for easy retrieval.  One neat feature: Take photos of your handwritten notes, and upload them to Evernote where they will become searchable documents. 

Uses: bookmark links, save notes, documents & images; file sharing

Google Drive - Free
Access any documents saved to your Google docs account. You can't edit here, but you can easily export to QuickOffice for editing. You can also use Google drive to upload files to Moodle! 

Uses: Google file access

 

iZip - Free

Use BlueFire to download eBooks from our library!  Click HERE for instructions

GoodReader - $4.99
View PDF documents through GoodReader.  Add annotations, drawings, arrows and more to your readings.  

 

Inkling - Free
If you bought an ebook from the bookstore from the Inkling provider, use this app to view it on your iPad.  

iBooks - Free 
View documents, including PDF files and ebooks purchased through the App store.  Cannot add annotations. 

 

Kindle - Free 
Buy ebooks through Amazon and read them on your iPad through the Kindle app. Also check your public library to see if they have Kindle books for checkout!

 

XanEdu - Free
Use this app to access your coursepacks.

Skitch - Free
Add text to images, maps, and screenshots. Or, start with a blank canvas and write or draw notes. Save and send directly to your Evernote account.
