Kaltura will automatically caption your videos for you, however, this uses a computer program. This allows for caption accuracy around 85-90%. In order to be accurate and meet the ADA laws, Kaltura makes it easy to edit our captions to get them to 100% accurate.
YouTube caption editing is available through Kaltura, but it involves a different set of steps, including manually requesting captions. Use this document to get YouTube videos captioned through Kaltura. (Caption editing will still be required)
This feature is great for our students with disabilities that have captioning as an accommodation, but this also allows for successful learning and equal access for all students.
