Part A: Strength-based Policy Analysis
Identify and describe a social problem that affects well-being, human rights and justice.
Describe the historical roots of the problem and governmental efforts to address the problem.
Describe the effect of the problem on individuals, families and larger social systems such as the community and society with particular attention to marginalized groups.
Describe an existing city, state, or federal policy that affects social work practice, explain the goals and objectives of the policy, and describe the specific programs through which the policy is implemented.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the policy in alleviating the problem with examination of the intended and unintended impact including a primary source interview on the impact to an individual or service delivery.
