Materials may be checked out with a valid GC picture ID or a valid library card. Check out times and renewal options are as follows:

Materials may be recalled if they are needed by faculty for a class.

Overdue Fine Policy

Recalled items are items specifically requested by another patron. Most of the time the library does not recall items before their due date. The major exception to this rule is when a teaching faculty member needs the material for a class. Recalled items are subject to $1.00 / day fine 48 hours after the recall has been sent out. Max fine $10.00.
Long Overdue items
All items that are overdue by 30 days are considered long overdue. Patrons with long overdue item(s) will be billed for what it cost the library to replace the item(s) and a $15.00 processing fee per item. Overdue fines associated with the item are removed. Since items that are long overdue are replaced, patrons may keep the original item.
At the end of the fall semester, spring semester, and May term, all account balances of $5.00 or more are sent to student accounts with an additional $5.00 fee.
Lost Item Policy
Patrons with items on loan which they believe were already returned or are possibly lost should immediately notify the circulation manager (535-7427).
The circulation manager will extend the due date until Reading Day of the current semester so that the patron has time to search thoroughly for the item. During this time, library staff will also search thoroughly in the library building.
If the item is found, only the overdue fines accrued before the date the patron notified the circulation manager will be charged to the patron's account.
If an item is not found by Reading Day of the current semester, it will be declared "lost."
When an item is declared “lost,” the circulation manager will cancel any overdue fines for the item. For lost books, the patron owes the library the current list price of each item, plus a $15 processing fee per item.
