COMMUNITY LIBRARY CARDS

Community Library Cards

 

Residents of Elkhart, LaGrange, or northern Kosciusko Counties may purchase a library card for $25.00 per year.

The annual fee is waived for the following individuals:

  • GC Alumnus
  • Minister (active or retired)
  • Spouse of current GC student
  • Spouse or child of current GC employee
  • Teacher at public, parochial schools and day care centers (Elkhart County only)
  • Visiting researcher/scholar at GC or AMBS (must have authorization from sponsoring institution/department)
  • GC Volunteers
  • Faculty, staff and students from institutions participating in reciprocal borrowing programs such as PALNI and ALI, which include AMBS, Notre Dame, St. Mary's, IUSB, Grace, and 60+ additional Indiana colleges and universities (more information is available upon request)
  • Goshen Hospital Employees
  • Former Goshen College Employees

Checkout times and renewal options for those with community library cards are as follows:

Books 60 days, no renewals,      no fines*
Board Games, Videos, and DVDs 14 days, no renewals,        no fines*
Periodicals may be used in the library only
Reserves checkout not allowed
Curriculum materials checkout not allowed
*Replacement charges are applied when more than 30 days overdue with no reimbursement  

 Materials may be recalled if they are needed by a faculty member for a class.
