Eclipse 2024: April 8, 2024

On Monday, April 8, 2024, Goshen College will be in the path of a solar eclipse.  We will experience a partial blocking of the sun by the moon on that afternoon. The eclipse will begin at 1:53 pm. The sun will be .970 blocked by the moon at 3:09 pm. The end of the eclipse will be at 4:24 pm. During the darkest part of the eclipse, the sky will be almost as dark as it is at night. You will likely be able to see the distant stars plus Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Mars lying along a line with Jupiter above and to the left of the eclipsed Sun and the other three down and to the right.
