RESERVES, eRESERVES AND MOODLE: HOW TO PUT ITEMS ON RESERVE

This guide explains how to place physical and electronic items on reserve.

SHELF RESERVES

To place physical items (books, DVDs, etc.) on reserve in the library:

  1. Fill out the Reserves Request Form.

  2. Bring the form and the items you want to place on the reserve shelf to the circulation desk in the library. (You can bring your reserve items to the circulation desk and fill out the form there.)

Typically, reserve items are able to be checked out for three hours, but you may specify a different length of time if desired.

Reserves are listed by course and linked from the library home page.

eRESERVES (LIBRARY WEBSITE)

The library provides a limited number of electronic reserves for historical reasons. We will not add new materials to electronic reserves, although we can help faculty scan materials and upload the scans to their courses in Moodle. The existing electronic reserves are being phased out as opportunity permits.
