You can download EBSCO eBooks to any personal device for seven day checkout.

• Download instructions for iPad
• Download instructions for desktop / laptop computer

To download EBSCO ebooks on your iPad you will need the following:

• Bluefire Reader on the App Store
• An Adobe ID
• An My EBSCOhost account
• An iPad, of course! :-)

Next, authorize Bluefire Reader with your Adobe ID.

• When you open Bluefire Reader you will be asked immediately for your Adobe ID and password.
• If you do not do this when initially installing Bluefire Reader, do the following:
  1. Open Bluefire Reader
  2. In the upper right hand corner, select the Info icon
  3. Under the Accounts heading, select Authorize
  4. Insert your Adobe ID and password

Finally, let's download some books!

1. Open the Safari browser (this will not work with Chrome or other tablet browsers)
2. Go to the Good Library website http://library.goshen.edu, then go to EBSCO under Popular Links or Popular Databases
3. Select eBook Collection (EBSCOhost)
4. Search for a book of your interest, then select Download (Offline)
5. You will be prompted to sign in to your My EBSCOhost account, do so now.
6. Select Checkout & Download.  You will be able to have the book on your iPad for 7 days.
7. A new tab will open with the link Open in "Bluefire Reader", go ahead and select it.
8. Bluefire Reader will open and download your selected title.  You will be able to read now or later.

To download EBSCO ebooks on your computer you will need the following:

• Adobe Digital Editions software
• An Adobe ID
• An My EBSCOhost account
• A computer, of course!

Next, authorize Adobe Digital Editions with your Adobe ID.

• When you open Adobe Digital Editions you will be asked immediately to authroize your computer.
• If you do not do this when initially installing Adobe Digital Editions, do the following:
  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions
  2. In the upper left hand corner, select Help, then Authorize Computer...
  3. Select Adobe ID as your "eBook Vendor", then insert your Adobe ID and password

Finally, let's download some books!

1. Open a web browser
2. Go to the Good Library website http://library.goshen.edu, then go to EBSCO under Popular Links or Popular Databases
3. Select eBook Collection (EBSCOhost)
4. Search for a book of your interest, then select Download (Offline)
5. You will be prompted to sign in to your My EBSCOhost account, do so now.
6. Select Checkout & Download.  You will be able to have the book on your iPad for 7 days.
7. A new window will open asking you to either Open or Save the file.  Open the file with Adobe Digital Editions.
8. Adobe Digital Editions will open with the newly downloaded title.  You will be able to read now or later.
